So with your wedding music, should you go with singing, musical instruments, or recorded CDs?

While all of those specifics are important, they often forget about one of the most important items of business: the music. The music a bride and groom decide to share on their wedding day will resonate for years to come, so it’s very important to make sure it’s right.
A wedding ceremony always starts with music. As the guests are being seated, they’re instantly entertained by the music playing in the background. The music sets the mood and it shapes the way the ceremony will go.
Wedding music is often thought of as serious and calm, but it doesn’t always have to be that way. There are several different ways to add a little extra excitement to the ceremonial festivities.
If a bride and groom are looking for a peaceful tone, they may want to stick to the simplicity of the piano, a violin or a single acoustic guitar. Those types of instruments can soothe the soul and produce a calming effect. Of course, if the couple knows a friend or family member who can play those types of instruments, that can add a little extra something special as well.
On the other hand, if entertaining really is what a bride and groom want to do before their special day even begins, they may choose to have someone sing the songs or hire a band. Having a full band for a wedding ceremony may seem a little overboard, but it’s been done in the past and it truly sets a nice vibe for the rest of the day. Having a soloist is also a popular choice when it comes to garter ceremoney music.
Soloists can often sing a wide variety of songs, which gives the bride and groom the chance to include all their favorite songs on their special day.
The music a bride and groom choose for their ceremony also carries over to their wedding reception, which is when the real fun begins! To entertain their guests throughout the night, couples can have anything from a live band to a DJ to simply playing their favorite CDs. As long as the music means something to the happy couple, the other guests are sure to enjoy themselves.
Wedding music plays a vital part in making a bride and groom’s wedding day memorable. From the pre-service music to “Here Comes the Bride” to the father daughter dance songs to the married couple’s very first dance together and all the moments in between, music is the staple that brings everything together.
The music a bride and groom choose to play on their wedding day will continue to play over and over again as they live in matrimonial bliss.
