A lot of people that try the products experience side effects or even get allergic reactions. So it’s often better to try proven acne home remedies that work as well and have a higher than average success rate. They are usually cheaper and do not require a doctors prescription.

Here are a couple of home acne treatments that will get rid of your acne for good.

One popular method to treat acne at home is to use cotton dipped in alcohol and use this on your face. You do not want to use too much alcohol as it can cause a bit of skin irritation.

If you are somebody who has oily skin, a good acne treatment is to use an oatmeal mask. Make a paste of oatmeal and water and apply it to your acne for 15-20 minutes two times each day to get the best results. What happens is that the paste will dry up removing the oil skin pores. When you are finished make sure to rinse your face with cold water.

Another homemade acne treatment that is very successful. It involves using honey and apples. This remedy uses grated apple, combined together with 4 teaspoons of honey. This mixture will be the paste you apply to your face. Keep it there for about a quarter of an hour. When you’re finished remove the potion and rinse with warm water. Repeat two or three times each week for optimal results.
