Passion towards learning can be created via parents’ involvement
Fully agree! All parents should never stress the child esp. when they are young. Parents are there for their children all the time. Parents’ attitude towards early learning is critical.
I know this French couple who are passionate about helping their young boy to learn. The father started to stick words around the house on all the household items and belongings. Amazingly, their girls are able to learn Chinese at age 2.
Learning for young children is not about stressing them. But it’s rather to assist them to understand and learn more about science. The real challenge for parents would then to be part of your child’s learning process.
For example, I always counsel adults who are also my customers to accompany their child whilst watching the Glenn Doman flashcard lessons and not to play all the lessons at one go. This upsets their children as we only recommend 1-2 lessons at the start.
Parents, young children are not sitting for their SAT anytime soon. Don’t rush them into learning. But trust me, their first six years is amazing. Their innate abilities is unimaginable. The responsibility now lies with the parents to unlock their children’s potential just like what Shichida recommends.
